I made this website with "Wix" for free, which is why there is a wix advertisement at the top. Apologies if it is an inconvenience.
Want To Know Who You're Talking To?
Yo, I'm (MiZ.). Here I am, at your service! 🙇♀️
What's up? Name's Mikael, or MiZ. if I go by my internet name. The dot at the end is intentional, so if you see any other Miz on the internet, you'll know the one with the dot is me -- which is why the full username is "MiZziDot!"
I go by She/Her pronouns. Some of you may know me because I play video games, some because of my artistic side, and the rest because of my services in teaching Korean. I have earned a bachelor's degree in Korean through official University means, studied in South Korea for about a year, and have had experience tutoring students introductory courses in Korean as an internship or as a job. As I am writing this in November 2024, I have been teaching Korean for about 2 to 3 years, and I am hoping to continue this endeavor by creating this website for myself and my future clients. Although the Korean Language is what I have seriously studied for, I am actually hoping I can start picking up on other languages too, such as either Japanese or Mandarin. I find language learning to be exciting!
I loved video games as a kid, and I still love them now. Too much actually to the point I combine them with my work and studies, which is a big part of how I study Korean, hehe. Other than video games and teaching Korean however, I aspire to keep getting better at my artistic side, whether that includes creating animations, digital art, logos, etc. Recently, I have been getting into 3D modeling and in depth video editing, so I am hoping to put that into one of my skills here in the future one day. 💪
So What Is the Goal of This Website?
Originally, my initial plan was to just have a place easier for my already existing clients to book their times with me whenever they wanted an art commission done, or to have their Korean Language sessions conducted. However, I am hoping this place grows (even if it's just a little bit!), and that I can provide people the satisfaction of knowing I can help bring them closer to their goals. Not just that, but also having fun along with it since learning languages and creating visual arts is my passion!
I offer mainly two different sections: introductory Korean Language teaching and various styles of arts and designs for commissions. I will explain them briefly here on what they are, and what sort of things you can expect from both of those sections. If you do not know where to start, you can see that the top menu from any part of this website, the "more" section introduces each services I offer. Both the Korean Language and arts and designs section have an "about" page, and they go more in depth of what the specific services actually do more than this page. This page only introduces what I offer and who I am -- but feel free to explore around this website and take a look at which services you are more interested in!
Types Of Services and Its Information
The "Korean Learning" section at the top of the menu is as the title says: I teach the Korean Language to those that are wanting to learn the language for a wide variety of reasons. Whether it is a personal reason going to Korea for travel purposes, or through hobbies such as K-pop and K-dramas, etc -- all are welcome to try!
Since the word "art" and "design" has a very broad term on what it means, I specifically make digital 2D animations or art pieces. 3D modeling is still in the works, but I hope to be good enough one day with a good portfolio for it to show my works. Depending on where you heard about me from, you might have seen some of my drawings in various sites that show some of my artworks. In fact, you are seeing simple versions of my art across this site right now... 👀
If you ever need anything that requires design and creativity, this section is the place to go!
Although I have done a lot of video editing experience through Imovie, I do not think I have practiced this at a professional level since it is through mobile devices. Once I familiarize myself with video editing on the PC -- and again, have a good portfolio to show my works, I will be confident enough to open up this section. Until then, stay tuned if this is what you are hoping to commission me for 🫡
I do not have web-design experience, so this site will look strange on some resolutions. If the site looks squished, switch to a mobile version or to a monitor that has (1920 x 1080p) resolution if you are already on mobile. In case of the page looking strange still, refresh the page or click to another page and then back.
